DOWNTOWN — Men with bogus fundraising fliers are robbing drivers stuck in traffic on Lower Wacker Drive and Michigan Avenue, police said Thursday.

In the crimes, men approach the drivers pretending to raise money with fliers, only to open their car doors, punch the victims, and take their cell phones, police said. 

The daytime robberies occurred at:

•4:30 p.m. June 22 in the first block of East Lower Wacker Drive

•4:05 p.m. June 23 in the 200 block of North Michigan Avenue.

Police described the suspects as black men aged between 16 and 24 years old and approximately 5-foot-6 to six feet tall.
