CHICAGO — A 16-year-old boy was wounded in a Roseland shooting Sunday afternoon, according to police.

The boy was in the 10800 block of South Wentworth Avenue at 4:42 p.m. Sunday when shots rang out, said Officer Michelle Tannehill, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

He was struck in his arm and back and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where his condition was not released but police considered him to be stable, Tannehill said.

The boy is a documented gang member, police said.
