EDGEBROOK — The new Edgebrook farmers market will launch Saturday in the parking lot of Edgebrook Elementary School, 6525 N. Hiawatha Ave., and run through Oct. 1.

The market is sponsored by Everyday Edgebrook, which is working to bring more shoppers to the area around Devon and Central avenues, organizers said.

A variety of vendors will sell produce, meats, baked goods, dairy products, as well as prepared foods and specialty items from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. in the parking lot off Central Avenue.

Each market will feature a children's activity organized by a local organization, as well as a tent showcasing a business in the community.

In addition, several markets will feature a cooking demonstration from an Edgebrook chef.

No market will take place July 16, organizers said.
