GAGE PARK — A 20-year-old man was shot to death in an alley in Gage Park Saturday evening, police said.

Around 7:15 p.m., the man was washing his car in the 5800 block of South Maplewood Avenue when someone walked up and shot at him, according to Officer Veejay Zala, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The man was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Zala said.

The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office identified the man as Trayvon Wilson, of the same block.

Police said the man is a documented gang member.

No one is in custody, Zala said.
