ENGLEWOOD — Two shootings in Englewood have left one man dead and three wounded since early Saturday, police said.

First, around 6:45 p.m. Saturday evening, three men were in the 700 block of West 66th Street when a man emerged from an alley and shot at them, said Officer Kevin Quaid, a Chicago Police spokesman.

Two of the men, 67 and 50, were brought to Stroger Hospital, where they were "stable," Quaid said. The 67-year-old had been shot in his back, and the 50-year-old had been shot twice in his buttocks.

Lonnie King, 67, of the 8600 block of South Carpenter, was pronounced dead at 9:43 p.m., according to Cook County Medical Examiner's Office records.

A third man, 30, brought himself to St. Bernard Hospital, where he was in good condition with a gunshot wound in his left hand, Quaid said.

About 4:45 a.m. Sunday morning, a 19-year-old man was shot in his left leg in the 1400 block of West 71st Place, police said.

The man was brought to Holy Cross Hospital, where he was "stable," police said.

Police could not immediately provide any other information on the shooting.
