AUSTIN — A 41-year-old man was found shot to death in Austin Sunday morning, police said.
Around 5:10 a.m., officers found the man unresponsive in the driver's seat of a car in the 900 block of North Massasoit Avenue, according to Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.
The man was pronounced dead on scene, police said.
The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office identified the man as Frederick Johnson, of the 5300 block of West Crystal Street.
Police could not immediately provide any other information on the shooting.
No one is in custody, Estrada said.
