CHICAGO — A 20-year-old man was shot and wounded in Englewood on Friday night, police said.

At 9:40 p.m., the man was standing on the street in the 6500 block of South Laflin Street when he heard shots and felt pain, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The man was hit in his right shoulder. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where his condition was not released but he was listed as “stable,” Estrada said.

The man was a documented gang member, police said.

No one was in custody.
