UPTOWN AND ANDERSONVILLE — It's finally Pride Weekend, and there's plenty of Pride-related activities — and more — happening in the neighborhoods.

Here is our list of nine things to this weekend in Uptown and Andersonville:

Closing Reception at Everybody's Coffee: On Friday, dancers from Pantaogo will perform Everybody Can Tango in celebration of City Cafe Culture. 935 W. Wilson Ave. 6-8 p.m. Friday. Free.

Uptown Open Street Party: Voice of the People will host an open street block party Saturday sponsored by PlayStreets and the City of Chicago. Activities include: fitness demos, zumba, sports clinics, games, a dance-off, a bounce house, live DJ and refreshments. Saturday. 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. 800 W. Sunnyside Ave. Free.

30 Queer Plays in 60 Minutes: All Pride weekend, the Neo-Futurists will be performing a special edition of "Too Much Light" to celebrate the LGBTQ community. Performers include: Ida Cuttler, Trevor Dawkins, Tif Harrison, Jeewon Kim, Kirsten Riiber, Malic White and Ryan Walters. Friday and Saturday at 11:30 p.m. Sunday at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10-25. 5153 N. Ashland Ave.

Check out the Zombie Origins and Evolution Project: The ZOE project features artist, musicians and dancers working collectively on "a series of exhibitions and a feature documentary that examines the origins of the zombie in Haiti and its evolution in America into a modern day pop culture icon."

It attempts to understand the symbolism, facts and cultural significance of zombies. Tickets — which include the art show opening, a sneak peak at the documentary, live music and live dancers — are $5 for seniors, students and low-income residents. General Admission tickets are $10. Preston Bradley Center, 941 W. Lawrence Ave. Art Opening at 5 p.m. Screening begins at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

Movie Night at Sunnyside Mall: The Sunnyside Mall outdoor movie night returns for the summer Friday with a showing of "Paddington." Residents should bring chairs, blankets and snacks. Free popcorn will be provided. 8:30 p.m. 1290 W. Sunnyside Avenue.

Check Out "No Pride: A Super Big Gay Happy Hour:" Uptown Underground is kicking off Pride Weekend with a performance by actor and cabaret artist Rob Lindley featuring Chuck Larkin on piano. The show uses storytelling and music to illustrate the story of a "middle aged gay man [who] proudly has 'No Pride.'” The performance includes a special appearance by Miss Chic Filet. Friday at 8 p.m. 4707 N. Broadway. $20 cover.

Backlot Bash 2016: The Backlot Bash is "the hottest, most rockin’ and most attended outdoor women’s festival" featuring a mix of music and entertainment for the community. Friday, it'll host a Family Fest and Sunset Concert. Saturday and Sunday feature hours of music including performances by Catfight, Rapper Chicks, the Ready Freddies, DJ Marcy Mac, by DJ All The Way Kay, DJ Good Boy, DJ J. Cur, Nina Sky and a DJ set from Taryn Manning. For the full schedule click here. $20 cover for performances.5238 N. Clark St.

Celebrate Pride With Muffy Fishbasket: Following the parade Sunday, head to Uptown Underground for drag favorites Muffy Fushbasket & Her Good Time Galz as they perform some of this year's best performances. The Uptown Underground crew will be giving away free tickets to the show from their float in this year's parade. 4707 N. Broadway. 4 p.m. Sunday.
