CHICAGO — Chicago pizza will make people do crazy things — like, say, leave the European Union.
Britain voted to leave the E.U. in a close, historic vote Thursday, almost immediately leading to controversy and change: Prime Minister David Cameron, who opposed the movement to leave the E.U., has said he will resign and the British pound's value has fallen dramatically.
So how does Chicago play a role in this?
Cameron resisted holding the referendum until he went to Chicago for the 2012 NATO Summit. There, speaking with his advisers in a pizza place at O'Hare Airport, he finally capitulated and agreed to hold the referendum, according to the Financial Times of London.
david cameron glumly chews his gelatinous o’hare pizza. “this pizza,” he thinks, "this pizza is technocratic globalization."

If it was the horrible pizza place that used to be in T5, more reason to question Cameron’s choices. https://t.co/0sHX1PfjuK

O'Hare has a few spots where you can grab a pizza — including Reggio's, Uno's and Stefani's — but none were able to immediately confirm if they'd served up the fateful #Brexit pie.
Now maybe if Cameron had been having a hot dog ... .
