Among their targets: Subway sandwich shops, 7-Eleven stores and gas stations, according to a Chicago Police business alert.

During the robberies, one man takes out a gun and shows it to an employee while the other acts as a lookout. Then, they go behind the counter and take cigarettes and cash from the register.

The robberies have occurred:

• 12:15 p.m. June 15 at 1160 W. Diversey Parkway

• 12:32 p.m. June 15 at 1020 W. Belmont Ave.

One of the robbers is described as a black man who is 30 to 35 years old, 5-foot-9 to 6-foot tall and 180 to 200 pounds, police said. The man has worn a black baseball hat, blue polo shirt with white stripes or a red shirt with a white "eye" logo and white collar and black pants or jeans. He has body piercings on his head and ears.

The other robber is described as a black man who is 35 to 40 years old, 5-foot-5 to 5-foot-6 and 230 to 250 pounds, police said. He is bald and has worn a white or black T-shirt and large, ankle-length jean shorts with white gym shoes. He walks with a noticeable limp.
