WEST HUMBOLDT PARK — An 18-year-old woman was in serious condition after being shot in her back on the West Side Tuesday evening, police said.

Around 8 p.m., the woman was walking on the sidewalk in the 4000 block of West Potomac Avenue when someone shot at her from a passing car, according to Officer Ron Gaines, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The woman was brought to Mount Sinai Hospital, Gaines said.

The same woman was shot in her leg one block away earlier this month, police said.

No one is in custody, police said.
