Chatham Shooting Seriously Wounds 20-Year-Old Man, Police Say

CHICAGO — A shooting in Chatham left a 20-year-old man wounded on Friday afternoon, police said.

At 3:15 p.m., the man got out of a car in the 7900 block of South Wabash Avenue when a green sedan drove past and someone inside fired shots, said Officer Veejay Zala, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The man was hit in his abdomen and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in serious condition, Zala said.

No one was in custody.
