BRIDGEPORT — Demolition crews recently knocked down the building next to Phil's Pizza.

Their work exposed a brick wall canvas at 1102 W. 35th St., where Phil's owner Tony Marotta has commissioned a new mural to catch the attention of passers-by rolling or walking down 35th Street.

Still a work in progress, the mural will feature buildings inspired by the marvelous architecture in Florence, Italy.
