LITTLE VILLAGE — An 18-year-old man was shot in Little Village early Sunday morning, police said.

Around 1:45 a.m., the man was sitting on the hood of a car in the 2300 block of South Sacramento Avenue when a man emerged from a gangway, shouted a gang slogan and opened fire, according to Officer Bari Lemmon, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was listed in good condition with a gunshot wound in his upper body, Lemmon said.

Police said the man is a documented gang member.

No one is in custody, Lemmon said.
