ROSCOE VILLAGE — No need to be a soccer fan to visit the Chicago Fire's practice pitch Saturday, but it will help if you like beer.
The team is hosting 18 breweries at its Fire, Brews & Bites fest, which raises money for the Fire's charitable foundation.
Tickets are $40 and can be purchased online. The cost includes beer tastings and food.
The event is set for 1-4 p.m. at The PrivateBank Fire Pitch's Heineken Pub97, 3626 N. Talman Ave.
Participating breweries: Brickstone Brewery, Exit Strategy Brewing, Finch's, Goose Island, Half Acre, Heineken, Hop Butcher for the World, Kona, Lagunitas, Lake Effect, Magic Hat, Old Tankard Ale, One Trick Pony, Revolution, Surly, Temperance, Ten Ninety and Two Brothers.
