AUSTIN — Two men were shot to death in separate shootings within five minutes of each other in Austin Saturday afternoon, police said.

At 3:42 p.m., a 20-year-old man was walking in the 5300 block of West Harrison Street when someone shot at him out of a dark-colored vehicle, according to Officer Michelle Tannehill, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The man, identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office as Albert Hurd, was brought to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Tannehill said.

At 3:45 p.m., Tannehill said, a 32-year-old man was driving in the 800 block of North Waller Avenue when someone walked up and shot at him.

The man, identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office as Kevin Milton, was brought to West Suburban Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Tannehill said.

Police said they believe both shootings were gang-related.

No one is in custody in these shootings, Tannehill said.
