WEST RIDGE — Students at Boone Elementary School lived out a scene straight from the movies last week: Lip-syncing to a choreographed dance throughout the school's halls.

The flash mob, led by dance teacher Gina Spears and to the tune of Meghan Trainor's "Better When I'm Dancin'," was the week-long culmination of National Dance Week festivities at the school.

Each day brought in a new theme, ranging from a Throwback Thursday, favorite dancer dress-up and a day dedicated to standing up against bullying — each using dance as a vessel for unity and celebration among the students.

Get a behind-the-scenes look at what makes life special at Boone, including some fancy Dance Week footwork.
