ANDERSONVILLE — Fear not for your brains when zombies invade Andersonville in May. They pursue only good times and your coldest beer.

Beginning at 2 p.m. on May 14, zombies will descend on Clark Street for the 9th annual Chicago Zombie Pub Crawl. The crawl will begin at pH Comedy Theater, 1515 W. Berwyn St., before heading to participating bars: The Call, Andersonville Brewing Company, Replay Andersonville, Atmosphere, Simon's Tavern and SoFo Tap, according to a press release for the event.

Fantasy Costumes, 4065 N. Milwaukee Ave., will be offering 20 percent discounts on costumes and makeup materials. The staff will also be on hand to apply makeup to zombies in need on Saturday.

Organizers will also be rewarding all the hard work it takes to put on your best zombie face. The best zombie costume will win free tickets to the Zombie Prom at the Cubby Bear, 1059 W. Addison St. on May 21. The winner of best zombie makeup will receive a $125 personalized makeup session from celebrity makeup artist Kate Johnson, according to the event's website.

Tell organizers you are interested at pH Theater between 2-4p.m. to enter the contest during the crawl.

Giordano's, 5207 N. Clark St., will also be offering a cheese or 1 topping baby-pizza and a 20 ounce soft drink for $10 the day of the crawl.

The pub crawl is a fundraiser for the comedy arts not-for-profit organization pH Productions. Money raised will be used to fuel the remainder of the season, the release said.
