ANDERSONVILLE — To celebrate Milk Handmade turning four, the women's clothing boutique celebrate will host a whiskey tasting and trunk show with local designers.

From 5-8 p.m. on May 7, Anna Hovet and Alicia Mohr will host trunk shows as customers sample whiskeys from Koval Distillery at the clothing store at 5137 N. Clark St., according to a news release for the event.

Hovet, who graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, designed layettes for Ecko, Calvin Klein and Kenneth Cole before opening her own company in January 2009. She owns her own private tutoring company, Sophic Standard LLC and teaches fashion illustration at the School of the Art Institute, according to her website.

Mohr sells jewelry and has founded to labels including her namesake label in 2015 and Ali's Collection. Ali's Connection is based in Chicago and "seeks to create unique pieces that are made of high quality materials, but are still affordable." Alicia Mohr label focuses "on precious metals" and "is made up of pieces through the process of lost-wax casting."
