CHICAGO — Ten people were hurt, one critically, in citywide shootings between Saturday morning and Sunday morning, police said.

A man was accidentally shot in his face in the West Loop early Sunday, according to Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

An 18-year-old man was shot in his leg near the Morse Red Line station in Rogers Park Saturday evening, police said.

• Most recently, around 6:40 a.m. Sunday, police responded to a call of shots fired in the 3500 block of West Lexington Street in North Lawndale and found an 18-year-old man with a gunshot wound in his head, Sedevic said.

The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, Sedevic said.

• Around 11:30 p.m., a 19-year-old man was standing in the 4800 block of South Bishop Avenue in Back of the Yards when four men walked up and one of them pulled out a gun and fired shots, Sedevic said.

The man was taken to Stroger Hospital, Sedevic said, where he was listed in serious condition with gunshot wounds in his back and his hand.

• Two hours earlier, three teenagers were standing in the 4000 block of West 18th Street in North Lawndale when they heard gunshots and felt pain, Sedevic said.

One boy, 16, was shot in his right leg, Sedevic said. Another 16-year-old was shot in his right leg and left arm, and a 19-year-old was shot in both his legs.

The teens were all brought to Mount Sinai Hospital, Sedevic said. Police could not provide their conditions.

Police said all three victims are documented gang members.

• Around 5:55 p.m., a 21-year-old man was standing in the 1200 block of North Lockwood Avenue in Austin when someone walked up and shot at him, Sedevic said.

The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition, Sedevic said, with a gunshot wound in his "body."

• About 25 minutes earlier, Sedevic said, a 58-year-old man was walking in the 6200 block of South Wood Street in Englewood when he heard gunshots and felt pain.

The man was taken to Holy Cross Hospital, where he was listed in good condition with a gunshot wound in his leg, Sedevic said.

Police said they do not believe the man was the intended target of the shooting.

• Around 1:40 p.m., a 17-year-old was walking in an alley in the 1400 block of West Garfield Boulevard in Back of the Yards when he heard gunshots and felt pain, Sedevic said.

The teen was taken to St. Bernard's Hospital, where he was listed in good condition with a gunshot wound in his right foot, Sedevic said.

• Around 12:55 p.m., a 24-year-old man was walking in the 11800 block of South Emerald Avenue in West Pullman when someone jumped out of a gangway and shot at him, Sedevic said.

The man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, Sedevic said, where his condition stabilized after he was treated for a gunshot wound in his left foot.
