Irving Park Shooting Kills 22-Year-Old Man Saturday, Police Say

CHICAGO — A 22-year-old man was shot and killed in Irving Park early Saturday, police said.

At 3:29 a.m., the man was walking in the 3200 block of West Addison Street when he was shot in his back, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman. The man was taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital.

Ricardo Montes, of the 3700 block of North Albany Avenue, was pronounced dead at 4 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

The man was a documented gang member, police said.

No one was in custody.
