MORGAN PARK — A 52-year-old man was shot inside his home on the Far South Side just before noon Monday, police said.

Around 11:50 a.m., the man was sleeping in his home in the 11500 block of South Aberdeen Avenue when someone walked into his home and shot at him before fleeing, according to Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The man was brought to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he was listed in good condition with a gunshot wound in his back, Sedevic said.

Police believe the shooting was a domestic incident.

No one is in custody, Sedevic said.
