WICKER PARK — Women's boutique Fab'rik will land in Wicker Park along Milwaukee Avenue in late spring, with most items under $100 except "premium denim," the owner said.

Located at 1543 N. Milwaukee Ave., the former Second Time Around storefront, Fab'rik will offer "on-topic, on-brand, on-trend" clothing, said Maria-Angela Sanzone, owner of Fab'rik's Wicker Park outpost.

Sanzone, a New York resident who previously lived in Chicago, is in the process of moving back to the area with her fiance, Ryan Horn. Together, the couple will launch the store, part of a fast-growing franchise operation that has 35 other shops nationwide.

Fab'rik has its own "very unique"brand, Asher, which is designed in-house at its Georgia headquarters, Sanzone said, and the store will also sell other fashion labels.

She said the shopping experience at Fab'rik boutiques is like visiting a high-end store but with "no attitude" and "no sticker shock," as everything costs less than $100 with the exception of some pricier jeans.

Sanzone said that she was targeting a late April/early May opening.

"We felt the neighborhood was perfect for the brand. We are a very personalized brand in what feels like an amazing neighborhood. We're not a big box retailer and are very personal and want to get a chance to know people," Sanzone said.

Sanzone, who will manage the shop, said she planned to hire a few other workers to help her run the boutique.
