BOYSTOWN — Even the best farmers markets can leave you feeling a little thirsty.

At Sidetrack, you can drink while you shop.

The monthly Sidetrack Saturday Market will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Sidetrack, 3349 N. Halsted St. From City Harvest Cafe juices to Stamper Cheese and The Amazing Kale Burger, there are lots of Chicago-based companies in addition to local farmers.

Now in its second year, the Sidetrack farmers market lets you shop local while enjoying cocktails, said organizer David Oakes. On Saturday, the Valentine's Day special is Bloody Mary drinks.

"People have really taken to it, and Sidetrack has such great space for a market," Oakes said.

The monthly market will expand to Sidetrack's outdoor area once the weather warms up, which will give the market space for up to 20 vendors. For now, the market uses half of the bar with eight vendors.

While the market does have its staple vendors, the selection rotates each month, Oakes said. For February, he said he's particularly excited for the Katherine Anne Confections, based in Logan Square, and the kale burgers.

The market will run monthly through May.
