LINCOLN SQUARE — Amundsen High School students are collecting gently used jeans to be given to homeless youth through the Teens for Jeans drive.

Jeans are the perfect item to donate — versatile enough to be dressed up or down and holding up well when worn multiple times between washes, according to DoSomething.org, which runs social action campaigns for teens.

Students have arranged for drop-off points in the neighborhood so that members of the community can contribute to the cause.

Take your denim — whether it's skinny, flared, low-rise or dark wash — to Over Easy Cafe, 4943 N. Damen Ave., or Eats and Sweets Cafe, 1636 W. Montrose Ave.

Jeans will be collected through Feb. 25.
