UPTOWN — Shake, Rattle and Read will begin its going-out-of-business sales this weekend with a four-day celebration featuring live music and, of course, discounts.

From Friday through Monday, everything in the store will be 50 percent off except vinyl, which will be 25 percent off, in celebration of the store's 50th anniversary. Saturday, the store will host live acoustic sets from James Porter at 3 p.m.; Iggy Yoakam, Richard Taylor, Matt Loch and Frank Raven at 4 p.m.; and Gentleman John Battles at 5 p.m.

Bringing in loads of used records for the sale this weekend- most from my house-what a crazy mix you'll see when I start posting the videos - I collected Too Much!

The store, at 4812 N. Broadway, accepts cash and credit, but will not be accepting trades.

Store owner Ric Addy announced last year he would be retiring and closing the store in 2016. For more details about the historic record and book store click here.
