BEVERLY — The Railway Gamblers, a four-man band hailing from West Beverly and Morgan Park, will debut their second album on Jan. 9.

The Railway Gamblers will unveil "Shadow of the Moon" at 9 p.m. at Martyrs', 3855 N. Lincoln Ave. in North Center. A single from the album, titled "World on Fire" was released on Dec. 18.

The band includes Brendan Folliard on vocals, Matt Fricks on electric guitar, Sean Wilmsen on drums and Joe Sexton on bass guitar. They are proof that a graduate of Marist High School, two Brother Rice High School alumni and a Mount Carmel High School graduate respectively can all co-exist in a band.

Described as folk rock or alternative country, the group released its debut album, "Heart of the Sun," in April. The previous and upcoming albums were both produced at Kingsize Sound Labs in Humboldt Park under the guidance of Mike Hagler. The producer has worked with Wilco and My Morning Jacket.
