LINCOLN SQUARE — The year-end hits just keep coming, Lincoln Square.
First, Roots Pizza opened. Now comes word that The Sixth cocktail bar is ready to start slinging drinks at 5 p.m. Monday — the perfect cure for those post-Christmas, back-to-work blues.
The Sixth is the brainchild of Benjamin Schiller, beverage director for The Fifty/50 Restaurant Group, which also owns Roots.
The two businesses share an address, 2200 W. Lawrence Ave., but have separate entrances.
The team at The Sixth is keeping details close to the vest but has shared photos of a couple of the menu's "esoteric" cocktails — while at the same time vowing that guests should feel just as comfortable ordering a "mass market canned lager" as a rare spirit.
