HYDE PARK — If a 14th century subtitled musical allegory starring a donkey sounds interesting, the Logan Center for the Arts has the perfect show.

The arts center, 915 E. 60th St., welcomes a performance of “Le Roman de Fauvel” by Newberry Consort at 8 p.m. on Jan. 9.

A donkey rises to prominence in the French royal court in the satire of the hedonism among the monarchy of the time.

The Newberry Consort will be joined by six men from the Rookery Choir to tell the story and will also use projections and supertitles translations.

Tickets are $35 and available through the Newberry Consort’s website.
