Saturday's Ravenswood Holiday Walk not only features a special appearance by Mr. Claus but also a cash back promotion for anyone who collects $100 in receipts from area businesses.
Enjoy complimentary refreshments and entertainment, including carolers from Amundsen High School's choir, noon to 5 p.m., while strolling along Montrose Avenue (largely between Damen and Ravenswood).
Santa will be making a number of scheduled stops, perfect for photo ops:
• Neighborly, noon, 2003 W. Montrose Ave.
• Sweet Sensations, 1:15 p.m., 1918 W. Montrose Ave.
• Starbucks, 2:15 p.m., 1900 W. Montrose Ave.
• Spoken Cafe, 3:15 p.m., 1812 W. Montrose Ave.
• Urban Pooch, 4:15 p.m., 4501 N. Ravenswood Ave.
Pick up holiday gifts, or treat yourself, and hang onto receipts from Saturday. The Ravenswood Chamber of Commerce is offering $20 cash back to shoppers who spend at least $100 at businesses located between Clark, Leavitt, Foster and Irving Park Road.
