CHICAGO — Snow showers will blanket the city late Tuesday and early Wednesday, but it probably won't be full-on boots and shovels snow.

The National Weather Service says, yes, it's coming, but we're unlikely to get more than a half-inch of accumulation.

It will start as rain showers Tuesday night, but will turn to snow around midnight and continue into early Wednesday, according to National Weather Service meteorologist Amy Seeley.

The ground is still too warm to accumulate much snow, Seeley said, but drivers should take wet roads into account this week.

Chicago's overnight parking ban went into effect Tuesday, covering 107 miles of arterial streets throughout the city.
