NORTH CENTER — Here's a Cyber Monday deal from an unexpected source: Free food at KICK, the newest addition to North Center's dining scene

To celebrate its official grand opening in the former Sola space, 1943 W. Byron St., KICK is offering a complimentary appetizer plate 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday — chef's choice, for the table to share.

Starters on the menu include steak tartare, corn fritters, hot and hotter wings, and ceviche con leche de tigre — lump crab, shrimp and whitefish in a "milk of the tiger" marinade.

The restaurant's cuisine borrows from Asian and Latin-American traditions, placing an emphasis on bold flavors.

Lunch service starts Tuesday and brunch debuts Saturday.
