Valentine Boys and Girls Club To Serve More Than 1,200 Thanksgiving Meals

BRIDGEPORT — For the 48th year in a row, Louis L. Valentine Club will provide free Thanksgiving meals to more than 1,200 children, families, and neighborhood folks.

The dinner happens on Wednesday, from 3-6 p.m. at 3400 S. Emerald Ave.

Homebound seniors will have meals delivered to them.

The Bridgeport club serves about 1,300 boys and girls throughout the South Side. The yearly membership fee is $20, giving kids access to a wealth of programs including dance classes, graphic design, photography, swimming, homework help, art instruction and more.
