CHICAGO — The Dan Ryan Expy. express lanes will be closed in both directions starting Monday night, with other lane closures expected Tuesday, the Illinois Department of Transportation said.
The express lanes will close near 63rd Street so crews can work on the street's bridge, IDOT said in a news release Monday.
Single lanes will close one at a time until all express lanes are shut down, IDOT said. The northbound left lane will close at 8 p.m. Monday, with a second northbound lane closing at 11 p.m.
All northbound lanes will be closed from midnight to 5 a.m. Tuesday, according to IDOT.
The southbound left lane will close near 63rd Street at 9 p.m. Monday, with the second lane closed at 11 p.m. until all lanes are closed from 1 a.m. until 5 a.m. Tuesday, IDOT said.
On Tuesday, the northbound right local lane will be closed at 8 p.m., with a second lane closure at 10 p.m., IDOT said. The 71st Street entrance ramp will also be closed at 10 p.m. Tuesday, IDOT said.
All lanes will be reopened by 6 a.m. Tuesday.
