NORWOOD PARK — The New Hope Food Pantry expects to feed 450 families on the Far Northwest Side at Thanksgiving and Christmas, officials said.

Families who live in Jefferson Park, Gladstone Park, Forest Glen, Norwood Park, O'Hare, Sauganash, Edison Park and Edgebrook can pick up bags of food designed for a holiday meal, and a toy giveaway will also take place, group organizers said.

The pantry needs donations of stuffing mix, dessert mixes for cakes, cookies and brownies, cornbread mix and Jell-O, organizers said.

In addition, the pantry welcomes cash donations to allow organizers to purchase $10 gift cards to allow families to purchase specialty items they like to eat, organizers said.
