EAST LAKEVIEW — Forget cooking one Thanksgiving dinner — this year, chefs at Lakeview Kitchen and Market will be making dozens.

Well, minus the main dish.

"We could do the turkey — we just don't want to," co-owner Wendy Grahn said, laughing.

Eight clients renting space in the Lakeview shared kitchen teamed up to offer a collaborative menu with Thanksgiving appetizers, side dishes and desserts.

"The coolest thing that happened since we opened is this organic community growing out of our kitchen," Grahn said. They often collaborate on products and also shared a booth at the Lakeview East Festival of the Arts in late summer.

Grahn said she hadn't been sure what to expect when Lakeview Kitchen and Market opened in June. When she spent time at other shared kitchens, clients were friendly but there weren't many opportunities to work together.

As for the collaborative efforts blossoming at the Lakeview shared kitchen, "I don't know if we even cognitively hoped for it, but we love it," she told DNAinfo. "I couldn't be happier with the way this has taken off."

Lakeview Kitchen and Market will continue to expand its collaborative offerings, with cooking classes in the works, Grahn said. A holiday market Dec. 5 will provide a chance for customers to see behind-the-scenes in the kitchen and sample dishes from the chefs.

But first comes Thanksgiving, during which Lakeview Kitchen and Market is offering 55 dessert options, from Laine's Bake Shop bourbon pecan pie ($8) to a gluten-free pumpkin bread ($10) from Kate's Cookies.

Appetizers include brie en croute from Velvet Dessert ($15 for a small) and LKM artichoke dip ($10). Classic Thanksgiving side dishes are also offered, whether you're looking for stuffing balls from Cheshire Cat Confectionary ($30 for 12), Crave Cuisine sweet potato casserole ($16-35) or potatoes gratin from Metropolitan Dinners ($10).

Thanksgiving order pick-up is available from Lakeview Kitchen and Market, 3109 N. Broadway, Nov. 22-25.
