LINCOLN SQUARE — A new home under construction at 2541 W. Eastwood Ave. in Lincoln Square will officially list later this year for $1.3 million.

Glen Tomlinson with Century 21 Affiliated has teamed up with Pat Cardoni with SG Home Builders to list several new construction homes in Lincoln Square, including the five-bedroom, 4½-bath home on Eastwood.

“We’re adding 880 square feet to make the bedrooms and the master suite,” Cardoni said. “We like to try to find buyers first to be involved in the design phase; they can talk with the architect and choose their design, finishes, everything.”

Peter Nicholas, who won the American Institute of Architecture award for design for homes he’s designed in Edgewater and Roscoe Village, is the architect designing this home.

The design will incorporate high-end features, such as a stand-up steam shower and big bathtub in the master bathroom, possibly a claw foot bathtub, because “it looks so classic for a nice, clean look," Cardoni said.

Cardoni said generally he typically designs and builds more ornate kitchens, but this home’s kitchen will be exceptionally modern.

“It’s more angular,” he said. “The kitchen is huge and has Wolf appliances, but the cabinets have rectangular shakers in front.”

It also features a detached garage.
