BEVERLY — Three burglaries to storefronts on Western Avenue in Beverly prompted the Chicago Police Department to issue a business alert on Monday.
The burglaries all occurred around midnight between the 10400-10600 blocks of South Western Avenue. The robber used a pry tool to force his way into the business, emptied the cash registers and searched the property for money.
A surveillance camera captured a white male with black hair between the ages of 35-55 years old in one of the burglaries. He was about 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighed approximately 180 pounds and was wearing gloves.
The incidents occurred on:
• Nov. 2 in the 10500 block of South Western Avenue.
• Oct. 13 in the 10500 block of South Western Avenue.
• Sept. 4 in the 10400 block of South Western Avenue.
Police are asking anyone who sees anything suspicious in these areas to call 911 and provide a detailed description of any people involved along with a vehicle description that includes license plate information.
