CHICAGO — Two men were injured early Thursday in a shooting in Logan Square, police said.

The men were standing in an alley in the 1800 block of North Richmond Street at 2:10 a.m. Thursday when two men walked up to them and opened fire, said Officer Antoinette Ursitti, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

A 30-year-old man was hit in the left buttocks and taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he was in "stable" condition, Ursitti said. A 44-year-old man was hit in the left hand and was taken to Norwegian American Hospital, where he was in "stable" condition, Ursitti said.

One of the men was a self-admitted gang member, police said.

No one is in custody for the shooting.
