CHICAGO — Twitter parodies are so hit-or-miss these days, so when one actually gets a chuckle from our newsroom, we feel obligated to share.

Barbara Byrd-Bennett is the latest to feel the sharp barb of Twitter's wit with the birth of @casinotuition. "She" joins the ranks of Chicago parody tweeters like @RahmAntics and @CTAFails.

The Twitter handle is a play off the now-infamous email in which Byrd-Bennett wrote, "I have tuition to pay and casinos to visit. (:," in reference to plans to accept money and benefits in return for securing $23 million worth of no-bid contracts for two companies where she had ties.

It's only been a couple hours since the Twitter account posted its first tweet, but it's already released gems like these:

With Byrd-Bennett pleading guilty to wire fraud last week and on leave since April, there's plenty of fodder for a comedic tweeter. We're looking forward to reading what this mocking Byrd has in store.
