Armed Men Punching People in Face, Robbing Them in South Shore, Police Say

CHICAGO — Police are warning residents after two armed robberies in South Shore.

During the robberies, the thieves, one of whom had a gun, walked up to their victims and punched them in the face before robbing them.

The incidents occurred:

• 8 p.m. Oct. 4 in the 7700 block of South Kingston Avenue

• 2 a.m. Oct. 6 in the 2900 block of East 78th Street

Anyone with information about the robberies is asked to call police at 312-747-8273.
