CHICAGO — Six people were injured in shootings on Monday, police said.

• Most recently, a 19-year-old man was shot at 9 p.m. in the 6600 block of South Oakley Avenue in Chicago Lawn, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman. The man was standing in the street with a group of other men when someone fired in their direction. He was hit in his left leg and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in good condition.

The man is a documented gang member and investigators think the incident was gang-related, police aid.

• At 7:04 p.m., a 16-year-old man was sitting on a porch in the 2700 block of West Lexington Street in North Lawndale when he was shot in a drive-by, Estrada said. A dark-colored SUV pulled up in front of the home and someone inside opened fire on the teenager, hitting him in his leg. He was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital in serious condition.

The victim is a documented gang member and investigators think the incident was gang-related, police said.

• At 6:10 p.m., a 19-year-old man was walking home in the 3700 block of West Eastwood Avenue in Albany Park when he was shot, Estrada said, citing preliminary information. The shooter walked up to the man and fired at him, hitting his buttocks. The man was taken to Illinois Masonic in good condition.

The victim said he had an outstanding drug debt and thinks this might be why he was shot, police said.

• At 5:50 p.m., a 26-year-old man was shot in the 6400 block of South Parnell Avenue in Englewood, Estrada said, citing preliminary information. The man was hit near his clavicle and was driven by someone to St. Bernard Hospital. He was later transferred to Stroger Hospital in critical condition.

Police haven't been able to interview the man to learn what happened due to his injuries, Estrada said, so no other information was available.

• At 4:15 p.m., a 32-year-old man was sitting in a car in the 200 block of North Kenneth Avenue in Garfield Park when he was shot in his leg, Estrada said. He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was in "stable" condition, Estrada said.

The man is a convicted felon and documented member, and investigators think the incident was gang-related, police said. The man has been uncooperative with officers, police said.

• At 10:40 a.m., a 16-year-old man was shot in his leg in the 11900 block of South Wentworth Avenue in West Pullman, Estrada said. He refused medical attention.

The victim is a documented gang member and investigators think the incident was gang-related, police said. He has been uncooperative with police.

No one is in custody for these shootings.
