CHICAGO — A man was wounded during a shooting in Albany Park on Monday night, police said.
At 6:10 p.m., the 19-year-old was walking home in the 3700 block of West Eastwood Avenue when he was shot, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman, citing preliminary information.
The shooter walked up to the man and fired at him, hitting his buttocks, Estrada said. The man was taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital in good condition.
The victim said he had an outstanding "drug debt" and thinks this might be why he was shot, police said.
