NORTH CENTER — There's more to North Center dining than ribs.

The full gamut of the neighborhood's cuisine will be on display during Wednesday's RestauranTour.

Nearly two dozen eateries, from Armand's to Zia's, are participating in the annual one-night-only event, 5-9 p.m., offering tasting portions of food and drinks. Enjoy samples of empanadas, paella, shepherd's pie, fish tacos, craft beer and more.

Newcomers to the neighborhood's restaurant scene are among the highlights of this year's tour: Via Lima, 4024 N. Lincoln Ave., serving up Peruvian cuisine; Dos Ricco's, 4064 N. Lincoln Ave., offering Asian-Mexican fusion; and Zaytune, 4322 N. Western Ave., which specializes in Mediterranean cuisine.

The complete list of restaurants and menu items is available online.

To join the tour, pick up a "tasting passport" for $25 at the Northcenter Chamber of Commerce office, 4054 N. Lincoln Ave.

Present your passport at the listed restaurants in order to receive the evening's special sampler.

If you've somehow managed to avoid a food coma, head to the post-9 p.m. after party at Grace & Leavitt Fire Escape, 2157 W. Grace St.
