Police Looking for Ford Explorer Used in Fatal Hit-Run

ROGERS PARK — Police are seeking the public's help in finding a light-colored four-door Ford Explorer that fatally struck a woman crossing a Rogers Park street.

Just before 7 p.m. Sunday, Cynthia Goldsher, 63, of Skokie was crossing the street in the 2300 block of West Howard Street just when the SUV hit her, authorities said.

The driver of the SUV drove away after hitting Goldsher without stopping to help her, police said.

The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office said Goldsher, of Skokie, died at St. Francis hospital in Evanston at 12:22 p.m. Tuesday.

Police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident to contact investigators at 312-745-4521 and to reference case HY449557.
