RIVER NORTH — Bottled Blonde, an Arizona-based pizzeria and beer garden, will open next month in River North in spite of opposition from neighbors who likened it to a "rowdy Hooters."

The restaurant will open Nov. 5 at 504 N. Wells St., according to a press release. The River North location is the second for Bottled Blonde, an Italian-inspired eatery that serves wood-fired pizzas, "artisanal" salumi and craft beer, according to its website. The menu also includes cocktails and homemade Limoncello.

The opening arrives after some River North neighbors started a petition in protest of the restaurant, which they felt would bring late-night noise and otherwise disrupt the quality of living in the neighborhood. David Shiba, who lives next to the restaurant site and started the petition, did not immediately return a message Tuesday morning.

Bottled Blonde is replacing SushiSamba Rio, another restaurant that closed last year.
