ROGERS PARK — For Far North Siders looking to get a taste of the best Mexican food the neighborhood has to offer, there's still time to sign up for a taco and tequila crawl down Clark Street Thursday.

For $10 advance tickets ($15 day of), restaurant-goers will get a specialty taco from 10 community eateries. Five dollars extra gets you tequila, margarita, Mexican beer and RumChata tastings thanks to Super Mercado Roman.

Community members will get a paper card they can take to each of the restaurants where they'll get a punch in their card for each taco.

Organizers at the Rogers Park Business Alliance say the event has grown substantially since last year and tickets are going fast. The goal is to introduce patrons into the family-run businesses to highlight each shop's uniqueness in an effort to gain regular customers, they said.

People wishing to buy tickets in person can head to Fonda Doña Chio between 4-7 p.m. to register — the crawl ends at 8 p.m.
