Edgewater Alderman To Present Four 'State Of The Ward' Meetings In October

EDGEWATER — During a series of four town hall meetings across the 48th Ward in October, Ald. Harry Osterman is inviting the community to learn about the "state of the ward."

In an email to residents, Osterman said the evenings will consist of a presentation from his office followed by "significant" time for neighbors to ask questions and make comments.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel's recent budget proposal, local development, education and crime will all be topics of discussion.

The meetings are scheduled for:

• 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Unity Lutheran Church, 1212 W. Balmoral Ave.

• 6:30 p.m. Oct. 13 at Senn High School, 5900 N. Glenwood Ave.

• 6:30 p.m. Oct. 14 at the Somerset Place Apartments, 5009 N. Sheridan Road

• 7 p.m. Oct. 15 at Emanuel Congregation, 5959 N. Sheridan Road
