LOGAN SQUARE — Fire crews battled a house fire at Logan and Sacramento for at least an hour Friday afternoon.

Around 2 p.m. in the 2900 block of West Logan Boulevard, fire crews were seen climbing on a rooftop to extinguish a fire in the back of a single family home. Firefighters knocked out some of the building's back wall in an effort to quench the flames.

The fire also damaged the siding of a neighboring home.

Neighbor Geoffrey Harris said there was no one in the home, but fire officials could not immediately confirm that there were no injuries.
