LITTLE VILLAGE — An 18-year-old woman was shot during a fight in Little Village Thursday evening, police said.
Around 7:35 p.m., the woman was standing on the sidewalk talking to a man in the 2400 block of South Springfield Avenue when two other men walked up and started fighting with him, according to Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.
One of the approaching men pulled out a gun and fired shots, hitting the woman in her chest and right arm, Estrada said.
The woman was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where her condition stabilized, Estrada said.
Police said a person is being questioned as part of an ongoing investigation into the shooting.
